This piece is so so rich and full of depth. I'm absolutely chuffed with how it came together! This one was actually inspired by something a little random - the skeleton of a leaf I found on my way home one day. I loved the way parts of it grew from one another and then other areas slotted into eachother without actually touching. So that's what I did with the skeleton of interlocking layers for this design.
It's an A3 piece and is on 300gsm watercolour paper, made using fadeproof paints and metallic watercolour gold which catches the light so beautifully.
I have some prints without the gold of this one. But the gold embellishment makes this hand drawn artwork a one off!
